"Wall of Heroes" honors those who gave the Gift of Life

Shawnee Mission Medical Center (SMMC) and the Midwest Transplant Network recently unveiled a wonderful tribute to organ and tissue donors. The "Wall of Heroes" was dedicated on May 20th to remember the organ and / or tissue donors who have saved or improved the lives of more than 1200 of SMMC's patients since 2008. The clinical educator at SMMC, Armida Torres, described the gift of life as "... the greatest gift a person can give."
