Power Ball Numbers and ObamaCare

Well, ladies and gentlemen I hate to say, "I told you so ....", but, "I told you so." On Wednesday, I predicted that the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) would NOT strike down ObamaCare. I did so because of SCOTUS' decision to gut Arizona's controversial SB 1070 anti-illegal immigration law. Their SB 1070 decision was the handwriting on the wall that ObamaCare would be upheld. I also said that I thought "... the best we could hope for was for a portion of it (ObamaCare) to be held unconstitutional." I nailed that, too, but it doesn't help us much. Apparently, Progressivism has now infected SCOTUS in addition to Congress and the White House.

Health care systems and single payer
Health care systems and single payer (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
So, what does it all mean ? Well, if you've read some of my other posts on ObamaCare, you know it means we're headed down the road to a single-payer system like Canada and England have. It means long waits for surgeries and appointments with your doctor. It means that ultimately healthcare will be rationed and the elderly and folks with disabilities and pre-existing conditions will be denied care, because it's too expensive. It also means that the budget deficit will grow by leaps and bounds. If you think the country is broke now, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Mr. Romney is talking about repealing ObamaCare if elected to the presidency. Really ? ObamaCare was modeled after the RomneyCare debacle that he signed into law while governor of Massachusetts. He loves government-run health care regardless of what he says. He has flip-flopped on issues more than a largemouth bass does with a hook in its lip. If you actually believe Romney will repeal ObamaCare, then maybe I can hook you up with a great piece of ocean front property in Arizona. Think about it - it'd be great. You might even get to hang out with that state's knuckleheaded Republican Governor Jan Brewer once you're there

Whew - I feel better. I've vented. Now, if I could just come up with the winning PowerBall numbers for tomorrow night as easily as I predicted what SCOTUS would do. That would be awesome. Only problem would be that "Uncle Barry" would take at least half of my winnings.

"Green Card ? You Don't Need No Stinking Green Card."

The U.S. Supreme Court is apparently headed down the same "Road to Uselessness" as Congress. Earlier this week, The Court struck down 3 of 4 parts of Arizona's tough, but controversial, anti-illegal immigration law, known as SB 1070. The only part of the law upheld was the provision allowing local law enforcement to check the immigration status of anyone they suspect to be an illegal alien during a traffic stop. Arizona Governor Jan Brewer called The Court's decision to uphold this one section of the law "a victory." Really ? Three quarters of the law is thrown out, and she calls it a victory ? Was it ? Doesn't sound like much of a victory to me, but I'll let you decide.

The portions of SB 1070 that The Court struck down were :
  1. one making it a crime for illegal aliens to seek work without a work permit,
  2. one making it a crime for illegal aliens to not carry their immigration documents, and
  3. one which gave local law enforcement the authority to arrest people they believed to have committed a "deportable offense" (i.e. - in the country illegally, caught smuggling, caught dealing illegal drugs, illegal possession of a firearm, etc.)
U.S. Supreme Court building.
U.S. Supreme Court building. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
In other words, during a traffic stop, local law enforcement can still check the immigration status of someone. However, if a person does not have their paperwork with them, they cannot be arrested (#2 above). Therefore, The Court gutting the entire law, except for the routine paperwork check, removed local law enforcement's ability to enforce the law. When you couple The Court's ruling with Mr. Obama's decree that young illegals can no longer be deported, the floodgates are now open more than ever for illegals to flow into the U.S. The Court and Obama have rolled out the welcome mat.

What does the future hold in regards to the ruling ? Well, it will allow illegals in Arizona to apply for work and work with out a work permit taking jobs away from legal Americans. In addition, other states which have passed similar laws can expect them to be thrown out, too. Others which are considering Arizona-like immigration laws shouldn't waste their time implementing one. The Court has set the precedent for them all to be gutted. Yet, Arizona's brilliant Republican Governor Jan Brewer referred to The Court's ruling as a "victory." She ain't the sharpest tack in the box. In fact, I've got toothpicks sharper than she is.

The U.S. Supreme Court will rule on ObamaCare by the end of the week, maybe even today. Americans have been holding their breath for sometime in regards to the ObamaCare ruling. Based upon their SB 1070 ruling, I doubt it will be struck down. I think the best we can hope for is for a portion of it to be ruled unconstitutional.

Since the Federal government is not gonna enforce immigration laws, nor allow the states to do it, either, I have a proposal - Congress should defund I.C.E. and use their nearly $6 Billion annual budget on something else. A good place to start would be to use those funds to pay for all the free health care and other taxpayer funded benefits the new flood of illegals is gonna feel they are "entitled to."

Only in America.

Transplants and Politics

As I mentioned on Monday, today's post will be the last one here on The Sheepdog for a while. I'm gonna take a break, a "Sheepdog Sabbatical," to begin working on a new project in order to get up and running with it as soon as possible. However, before I sign-off for a while, I want to follow up on some posts I did several months ago. This is a post I've been meaning to do for a while, but I wanted to follow the story a little longer to see how it played out. Plus, it just didn't seem the time was quite right for running it. However, with the sabbatical beginning a new chapter for me, I feel like today's the day.

Jan BrewerFolks who have been following my blog for a while remember me "raising cain" over a decision made by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer (pictured upper right) and the state's legislature last year (click here to read earlier posts about Jan Brewer). Those jokers cut funding for organ transplants covered by the state's Medicaid program, officially named the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), from the state's budget effective October 1, 2010. Specifically, the decision ended AHCCCS coverage of transplants for anyone 21 and older. It left 100 of the state's sickest residents unable to pay for their life-saving transplants if a match was found for them. In fact, two of those 100 died without getting the transplants needed after the atrocious decision was made.

Gov. Brewer and the Arizona legislature decided to cut the transplant funding due to the state's budget crisis. Brewer even went further by saying the funding was cut because, in her opinion, transplants don't work. Do what ? Other state and local governments currently find themselves in similar situations. However, the transplant funding cut only amounted to a little over $1 million. The state's projected budget deficit at that time was a little over a $1 Billion. Therefore, the cut to transplant funding amounted to only ... are ya ready for this ... approximately 1/1000th of 1% or .001% of the projected budget deficit. In other words, if I had a $1000 per month budget for household expenses but decided to cut that budget to only $999 per month, that would be the equivalent of how much Arizona was "saving" by cutting the transplant funding from AHCCCS. Another way of looking at it is that two Arizonians died in order to save $1 out of every $1000 spent by the Arizona government. Apparently, that's what a human life is worth in Arizona. The really troubling thing, though, is that the state left funding for a new coliseum roof, the study of algae, and other pork projects amounting to millions of taxpayer dollars in the budget. I guess "pork" is more important than people. I'd hate to think that this "budget cut" wasn't about saving money but rather due to a lack of concern for the poor and sick in Arizona. However, that appears to be the case.

Back in the spring, due to public outcry by the people of Arizona and elsewhere across the country, reports began to surface that Gov. Brewer and members of the Arizona legislature were looking for a way to restore the transplant funding. The truth is, though, that the members of the legislature who were trying to find a solution were the Democrats. Gov. Brewer and the Republicans killed those proposals on multiple occasions. Finally, around the first of April, it was announced that Gov. Brewer and the legislature had restored the AHCCCS transplant funding. However, a closer look showed that wasn't necessarily true, either, and even if it was, Gov. Brewer's three-pronged solution was gonna leave other Arizonians enrolled in AHCCCS as the ones paying the price.

The seal of the United States Department of He...First, Gov. Brewer asked The U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services for permission to eliminate $500 Million of Federal funds from AHCCCS. Then, she would restore the transplant funding and not allow new enrollments of childless adults and others into AHCCCS. Doing this would prevent 160,000 Arizonians from being eligible to enroll. In addition, some 200,000 others would be forced to pay higher co-pays and other fees if they wanted to keep their coverage. Brewer's proposal would make transplant patients look like the bad guy - they would get coverage while nearly 400,000 others wouldn't. I guess this is her way of  "CYA'ing." It's stupid logic if you ask me. You screw 400,000 to save 100. Aren't 400,000 votes more than 100 ? She ain't the sharpest tack in the box. Oh, and did I mention that the legislature passed, and she signed a huge corporate tax cut ? Sorry. I forgot to mention that. Wanna guess the total amount of the cut ? It was $538 Million. Hey, didn't she ask HHS to cut $500 Million from AHCCCS ? Wow. That tax cut would've covered that $500 Million Medicaid cut. Imagine that. Must be election time.

Secondly, the actual language in the new budget was so vague that it does not automatically restore transplant funding to AHCCCS. It only says that the legislature "intends" to restore it "within available appropriations." In politician speak, it basically means that the money will be available to AHCCCS if the governor and the legislature don't have something else they would rather spend it on. Furthermore, if the funds are available, the transplant program is still only going to be funded through June 30, 2013. I guess they think that starting in July 2013 no one else in Arizona will ever need a transplant. Dang, if Arizona politicians are that good at prognosticating, I sure wish they'd help me out by telling me the next set of winning Powerball numbers.

Thirdly, Arizona's politicians have proposed a so-called "Fat Tax" to help curb the state's budget problems. It would mean charging a $50 tax on childless adults who are obese that do not abide by "a doctor-ordered weight-loss plan," are smokers, or not following a proper treatment regimen for a chronic illness, such as diabetes. The first problem I have with this "Fat Tax" is that it's discriminatory. It specifically targets "childless adults." What's the deal ? Does the state think adults who do not have children for one reason or another are bad or worthless people ? The other problem I have with it that it applies to people considered "obese." If the goal is to "encourage" or "nudge" people into healthier lifestyles (Cass Sunstein would be so proud), why are they only targeting folks considered "obese " ? Some people who are overweight have other underlying health problems that contribute to their obesity. The problem could be genetic and not a component of their lifestyle. Besides, who's gonna determine what "obese" is ? Is it gonna be some government bureaucrat or a doctor ? Furthermore, if the state is actually wanting to punish or discourage unhealthy lifestyles, they should have treated everyone fairly by placing the same "tax" on others, too, such as people who drink alcohol. But of course, they're are not gonna do that because it would hack off some of their largest campaign contributors, and they're more important than the "little people."

I first posted about Arizona's transplant funding cuts back on December 16, 2010. That day, I was pretty hot about the whole deal, and it still disturbs me. In that original post, I predicted that if these type of cuts were allowed to be made in Arizona, it was only a matter of time until similar cuts would happen in other states. Unfortunately, my prediction is coming true. The state of North Carolina is currently considering similar cuts. Last year, the state cut over $350 Billion from The Division of Medical Assistance, and they are needing to cut more. It may led to transplants being limited and the elimination of dental care, hearing aid coverage, mental health treatment, and home health care for thousands of North Carolinians. In addition, last night on the local news, it was reported that huge cuts may be forthcoming for the state of Tennessee if Congress makes significant cuts in the amount of Federal funds sent to the states. It includes a possible $2 Trillion cut from TennCare, the state's Medicaid program. A $2 Trillion cut to TennCare would have devastating effects on Tennessee's poor and residents considered "un-insurable." I suggest Governor Bill Haslam and the legislature put a reasonable plan together to make sure these folks are provided for. Otherwise, they'll be hearing a lot from The Sheepdog and others in The Volunteer State in the months to come.

As I wrap this post up and begin my break, I want to give notice to the wolves out there, such as Jan Brewer. Even though The Sheepdog is on sabbatical, his eyes and ears are always open and his mind is analyzing what's going on. I can always take a quick break from my break and hop back on the blog to report what I see. I guess it would be my version of, "I'll make ya famous," as Billy the Kid's character in the movie Young Guns would often say. I encourage you jokers to be on your best behavior.

I know today's post has been rather long. However, I felt like this issue was worth following up on and visiting again. I, for one, am sick and tired of uncaring, selfish politicians who only worry about getting re-elected. They were hired, by us, to serve us - not themselves. It's high time that they got their priorities straight, stopped wasting our tax dollars on pet pork projects, and starting having some respect for human life. Personally, I'm beginning to think that maybe it's time for some transplant recipients, cancer survivors, heart attack survivors, and others with what could be considered chronic health conditions, who are now able to live fairly normal lives, to run for and get elected to political office. Then, we'd have some public servants representing us that understand how precious life and health really are. It's something we as a group need to give a lot of thought, prayer, and consideration to. Then, one of us who is courageous, bold, well-spoken, and not afraid of anything needs to go for it. That person must be one who will not compromise their values and one that people will get behind and work hard for in order to put them in office. That person or persons are out there, it's time for them to step up.

Well, all that being said, it's time for The Sheepdog to cut out of here and hit the trail to work on his new "project." I'll see y'all and update later in the fall.

Are Republicans Pro-Life or Not ??

Photo © by Jeff Dean. The Arizona Capitol - via Jeff Dean via WikipediaIn December and January, myself and many others began "raising cain" (see articles at the end of this post) about the fact that Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and the State's Legislature had decided to remove funding for organ transplants from the state's Medicaid program. Some members of the Arizona Legislature heard the outcry and began looking for ways to restore the funding. However, it now appears that any hope for restoring the funding is gone.

Republican State Representative John Kavanagh, who happens to be the House Appropriations Committee Chairman, was one of the ones looking into alternatives for restoring the funding. According to the BlogForArizona.com's article Governor Grim Reaper's GOP Death Panel : No Transplant Funds for You !!, Kavanagh previously said that he thought the decision to eliminate the transplant funding may have been made based upon "flawed data." His plan was to have hearings to look at newer data which showed "better patient outcomes." He now says that the additional data shows the previous data "looks solid," so he's not gonna attempt to reinstate the funding. Kavanagh's reasoning - because, according to the statistics, he says, "Almost everybody (the transplant patients) died." Therefore, I have two questions for him :
  1. When did they die ? Was it 5 weeks after transplant, 5 months, 5 years, or 25 years ?
  2. Since we all die eventually whether we are a transplant patient or not, does he believe that NO money should be spent on healthcare ? What's his freakin' point ?
The really interesting part of this whole ordeal is that for years The Republican Party has claimed to be the pro-life party. However, it has been the Democrats in the Arizona Legislature who have introduced a half a dozen transplant funding related bills. One would have provided matching funds from the New Life Foundation to pay for transplants. However, Kavanagh and a fellow Republican, State Senator Andy Biggs who happens to be Chairman of the State Senate Appropriations Committee, have refused to hear them thereby killing the bills. Apparently, Governor Brewer's staff had told him she would not consider any legislation to restore the transplant funding. So, now who's the pro-life party ? It ain't the Elephants.

It's not often I see Democrats doing the right thing, but in this case they are. The negligent actions of Governor Brewer, Rep. Kavanagh, and Sen. Biggs, all Republicans, are a death sentence for Arizonians on Medicaid who need life-saving organ transplants. As I've said before, their actions make me ashamed to have ever called myself a Republican. If this government sanctioned suffering and dying of transplant patients is what The Republican Party considers being "pro-life," then I'm not sure I want anything to do with the party. "Pro-Life" means you believe in the sanctity of all human life, not just when it involves babies or healthy people. Many Republicans in my home state of Tennessee are currently railing against and attempting to nullify ObamaCare (more on that at a later date) without offering any alternatives that will provide a means for the chronically ill and others with pre-existing conditions to obtain health insurance. This too will lead to unnecessary suffering and dying at the hands of politicians. Republicans need to get their act together. In my opinion, when it comes to the issue of being "pro-life," many of them are nothing but hypocrites, and I am sick of it.

Arizona businesses standing in the gap for transplant patients

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer meeting with Presi...Over the last month, I have ran a few blog posts (see bottom of this post) that have been highly critical of the decision of Arizona Governor Jan Brewer (pictured right with Obama) to cut off Medicaid funding for organ transplants in her state. In the last couple of days, I've ran across some good news for the transplant patients affected in an article, Businesses Aim to Fund Transplants Cut by State, on the Arizona Daily Star's website.

A former Arizona State Legislator, Leo Corbet, is not only protesting the state's decision to cut off the much needed funding but has also called for Arizona businesses to step up and donate the funds. Corbet, who received a heart transplant in 2001, is currently president of a non-profit group, New Life Society, that works to raise awareness of organ donation. Corbet has set up a bank account at Wells Fargo where the donations can be sent. None of the money will go to administrative costs. The account is called "Transplant Assistance Project." Donations are tax deductible and the program's motto is "Tomorrow Is Too Late."

Corbert believes that even if the state changes its mind and restores the funding, it will be too late for many of Arizona's transplant patients. Therefore, he is pushing ahead with this project and urging Arizona businesses to help out immediately. Personally, I think this story proves two things - 1) "where there's a will, there's a way," and 2) that the government doesn't always have the answer, but American ingenuity and love for fellow man usually does. Kudos to Corbet and the New Life Society. May God Bless their efforts to raise the $4 Million dollars needed.

Powerful Video Shows the Plight of the Arizona 98

I've done a few posts previously (see below) about the fact that the State of Arizona has stopped paying for life-saving transplants for people on Medicaid. The decision has amounted to a death sentence for approximately 100 of the state's sickest residents. In fact, two people have already died as a result of Governor Jan Brewer's decision to cut the funding.

Please take a few minutes and watch this powerful and heart-wrenching video by clicking here. My fear is not only for the lives of the people of Arizona that need transplants but for people in other states, too. I believe that if the government of Arizona is able to get away with playing God by deciding who lives and who dies that it's only a matter of time until other states will follow in their footsteps. Think about how you would feel if one of these people was your spouse, one of your parents, your best friend, or even ..... you.

Hope coming to Grand Caymans sickest residents

Grand Cayman. The shallow lagoon is surrounded...Did you know that there are places in the world where life-saving organ transplants are not legal ?? According to a story on Cayman27.com, that is the case in the Grand Cayman Islands. Current law there is unclear as written as to whether transplants can be done legally. Therefore, in order to not risk violating the law, they're just not done. However, one member of the islands' Legislative Assembly is working to change that.

The member is MLA Elio Solomon. The story, Organ Donor Law One Step Closer, says he's been working in a committee researching what the Legislative Assembly must do in order to clarify the law. Then, the islands' residents can legally receive the life-saving surgeries that so many of them need. With 40 people currently receiving dialysis at Georgetown Hospital, Solomon says the Caymans "... need legislation like this."

I hope the lawmakers in the Cayman's are successful in getting the law clarified. Many of their constituents' lives depend on it. It also makes me wonder - why can't we have lawmakers like this gentlemen in the U.S. ?? He cares about the lives of his people. Instead, we in the U.S. get stuck with jokers like Arizona Governor Jan Brewer who would rather let transplant patients die because of budget problems than help them. So, here's an idea - the people of Arizona should recall Brewer and replace her with Solomon. Sound good to you ?? I bet it does to the Arizonians needing life-saving transplants.

2011 brings changes to The Sheepdog

2011 is almost here, and I for one am glad to see 2010 slowly slide off into history. It wasn't the best of years for me, and 2011 shows promise, and I'm ready to get started with it.

With the start of 2011, you will notice some major changes here at The Second Chance Sheepdog. During the last six months of 2010, the blog became too politically focused. In 2011, the focus will shift back toward promoting organ and tissue donation as I had originally planned for the blog. I will still blog about political issues some, but politics will not be the focus anymore. Those days are gone.

In 2011, each weekday will have a theme. There will be :
  • Music Mondays - Mondays are usually a drag for most of us. We either have to go back to school or work. So, in 2011, The Sheepdog will start the week off with something fun - music. I grew up during the MTV era of the '80s. Therefore, the primary focus of Music Mondays will be to take a walk down memory lane and look back at some of the great music from that era via music video. I'll also mix in some concert announcements from your favorite artists, album release announcements, and some album reviews. However, I'll highlight more than just '80s music. I mix in some from the early '90s and some contemporary Christian along the way. Unfortunately, for my friends in Music City, you will not see much, if any, country highlighted here. The Sheepdog's a rocker, not a "twanger." Sorry.
  • Transplant Tuesdays and Thursdays - Each Tuesday and Thursday will be devoted to organ and tissue transplant advocacy. I'll post articles about people who have received transplants, transplant innovations, and other transplant related stories. Plus, if some nimrod politician pulls some sort of stunt that is detrimental to transplant patients, such as Arizona Governor Jan Brewer did recently, you'll hear about it here, too.
  • Wild Wednesdays - Despite the name, Wild Wednesdays are not gonna be about partying. The "Wild" I'm talking about is like a "wild card" in a card game - it can be anything. So, Wild Wednesday can be about any subject - music, transplants, politics, sports, or might even be a joke.
  • Freedom and Firearm Fridays - Friday's will be the one day each week that we talk about politics. I may highlight a new piece of legislation that needs to be voted down or approved or discuss a political candidate. I'll do some articles on things involving firearms, too. These could be about legislation effecting the right to keep and bear arms, a new gun on the market, new ammo on the market, or some other shooting relating topic.
Lastly, I want to wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year. The Second Chance Sheepdog blog's new year and new format will start this coming Monday, January 3rd, with a music video from the band who opened the first rock concert I ever attended. I'm not gonna give any clues as to who it is. So, if you're curious as to which band, you'll just have to check back Monday to find out. Don't miss the new year on The Sheepdog.

Atrocity in the U.S. - politicians killing transplant patients !!

Jan BrewerSeveral weeks ago, Conservatives and others were singing the praises of the Republican Governor of Arizona, Jan Brewer (pictured right). Arizona had just passed their new immigration bill and several other states were considering passing one like it. Brewer stood up to the Obama Administration's threats of a lawsuit over the bill by basically telling them to "bring in on." Now, Brewer has gone from a hero to a big fat zero. As you read the rest of this story, I want to encourage you to click on and read every story linked to and watch the video, also. Every American needs to know this information because it or something similar will eventually happen in your state if something is not done. Mark my words.

My regular blog readers know from my earlier posts on ObamaCare that I was wholeheartedly against it. The biggest reason is because in countries, such as Canada and England, where socialized medicine is currently being practiced that rationing and denial of care occurs as the cost of the program increases. In fact, in my July 16, 2009 post titled "Health Reform", I made the following prediction :
The government will begin rationing care at some point to try to lower costs leading to them deciding who gets treatment and who doesn't. It already happens in Canada and England. Basically, they play God deciding who lives and who dies.
Unfortunately, ObamaCare has not even taken effect yet and it is already happening. People said Sarah Palin was crazy when she said ObamaCare would lead to "death panels." Well, it now appears that she wasn't as crazy as they thought. The State of Arizona Medicaid progam is broke so they are denying coverage for life-saving organ transplants and allowing their sickest residents to suffer and die. In a memo dated September 30, 2010 from the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System, it states that effective October 1, 2010 pancreas, lung, bone marrow, liver, and heart "transplants will not be covered for people 21 years or older." It's hard to believe it's happening in the U.S., but it is and it's happening if you're only 21. Just imagine how the elderly will be treated one day.

An article, BrewerCare - Death by Budget Cut on Forbes.com, tells that the cut to Arizona's Medicaid transplant funding amounted to only $1.4 Million. However, it means that 100 Arizonians needing life-saving transplants will NOT get them unless they can somehow raise the money to pay for them. Most of them are so sick they can't work. So, how are they gonna raise the funds ?? Here's the truly shocking part - the state has $2 Million in the budget for "algae research" and used $1.7 Million of federal stimulus money for roof renovations on the Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Which is more important - peoples' lives or a roof on a coliseum ?? Save the lives - let the dang roof fall in and the algae research wait !! I'll bet that if they dug a little, they could find enough wasteful pork spending to cut out of the budget to cover the $1.4 Million needed, too. The Democrats in the state legislature have asked Brewer, a so-called Republican, to call a special legislative session to try to find a way to fund the transplant program. She has repeatedly refused. I thought the Republican Party was Pro-Life. Guess I was wrong. This is the first time in my life I can say I'm embarrassed and ashamed to have ever been a Republican.

The video in another story, Jan Brewer Budget Cuts Have Arizona Governor Under Fire, which ran on HuffingtonPost.com really puts a human face on the crisis. Please watch it here.

I am both saddened and angry by the news that the Arizona Government is denying its citizens who need life-saving transplants coverage for them and basically giving them a death sentence by allowing them to die. I can't help thinking "but for the grace of God go I." Rationing is a fact of life in socialized medicine and generally the most expensive care gets rationed first - i.e. transplants. I fear that it will not end in Arizona. It is only a matter of time before other states are effected by it. Once ObamaCare cranks up, it will eventually effect the whole country.

I will probably be attacked by folks on the Right and on the Left for what I am about to say. However, I'm gonna say it anyway because it needs to be said. For years, we have set on our "assets" and voted in politician after politician whom have no morals or ethics and no respect for the value or sanctity of human life. They have then appointed and confirmed judge after judge with none either. We have walked into the voting booth without researching the candidates and repeatedly re-elected the worst of the worst because they had the "R" or "D" by their name or gave us something. We Christians did it, too, and it has resulted in thousands of innocent, unborn babies being savagely murdered. Yes - I said it. Murdered - period. We've called it "choice" and even allowed some of it to be paid for by taxpayer dollars. Now, we are allowing politicians to sentence our sickest citizens to death and calling it "a budget cut." We don't have the money to take care of people who can't take care of themselves, but yet we spend millions upon millions of tax dollars on sports stadiums and other crap we don't need every year. Our priorities are completely screwed up. When are we as Americans gonna say "it ends now !!" When are we gonna have a reverence, a respect, and some honor for the value and sanctity of human life ?? Who are we gonna let the politicians and judges kill next ?? Will it be the cancer patients ?? Or, the diabetics ?? Or, the elderly ?? People, we have blood on our hands. If we don't stop playing politics and stand up for what's right and reject what's wrong, one day Almighty God is gonna judge this country swiftly and thoroughly because we didn't protect human life. It is not of a matter of if, it's a matter of when. Furthermore, we have no one to blame but ourselves because we put the jokers in power who have done it. We, as a country, need to get back to praying, turn back to Him, and get our freakin' priorities back in order. One precious life has already been lost thanks to Brewer's transplant cut. If I were a family member, the state would have already been sued in hopes that it didn't happen to someone else. How many more have to die before Arizonians and Americans everywhere rise up and say, "we're not gonna take it anymore ??"

I'm waiting for your answer. And yes, this Sheepdog is pissed !!

Palin says Obama doesn't have any ....... "courage"

A few months ago the brouhaha began over Arizona's new immigration law. Simply put, the law gives law enforcement officials the authority to check the immigration status of people when detaining them. The law was passed by the Arizona state legislature and signed into law by Governor Jan Brewer as a way of solving the state's current crisis with illegal aliens.

Arizona passed this new law due to the Federal Government's failure to secure the borders. In an article on NewsMax.com, Palin : Obama Doesn't Have 'Cojones', Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin praises Gov. Brewer for not backing down on the new law even while under pressure from the Obama Administration. In fact, when referring to Brewer's crackdown on illegal immigration, Palin said that Brewer "... has the cojones ..." that Obama doesn't.

I'm glad someone finally had the "cojones" to say it. You may remember that Palin was the only member of the McCain Campaign in 2008 that had the courage to come out and label Obama correctly as a socialist. Palin is liked by many and hated by many. However, no matter how you feel about her, you might as well get used to her because she's gonna be around for a while.
