Benefit being held August 7th for transplant recipient

A benefit concert is being held this coming Sunday, August 7th, in North Wilkesboro, NC for transplant recipient Kenny Miller, a local firefighter. Miller was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 7. In 2004, he went into renal failure and had a kidney and pancreas transplant in July. Funds raised at the benefit will be applied to the more than $300,000 in medical expenses associated with Miller's transplant.

The bluegrass and country music benefit concert will start at 2 PM that day and be held at Record Park which is located in North Wilkesboro at the corner of E and 4th Streets. In addition to the music, there will be food and beverages, a bake sale, prize drawings, and horseback riding. If you live in the North Wilkesboro, NC area, go check out the benefit concert on August 7th. It's not only a fundraiser but also a celebration for one of your neighbors who got his life back.
