Yes, you read the headline correctly. According to an article, Would-be Organ Donors Can Register by Smart Phone, on rrstar.com, residents of the state of Illinois who have either a driver's license or an Illinois ID card number can now register as an organ and tissue donor via their smart phone. All they have to do is visit DonateLifeIllinois.org.

The article goes on to say that about sixty percent of adults in Illinois are currently registered as organ and tissue donors with approximately 4800 of the state's residents waiting on a life-saving organ transplant. Hopefully, the new "smart phone sign up" will help increase the number of registered donors in that state.
