Uncle Sam likes organ donors

The Washington Post recently ran an article, "Organ Donors Have a Friend in Uncle Sam", about the Federal Government giving its employees paid time off for being a living organ donor. The article says they are given "... 30 days of paid leave for donation testing, surgery and recuperation." Furthermore, in accordance with the 1999 Organ Donor Leave Act, these 30 days, up from 7 before the act, are not counted against the employee's regular vacation or sick days.

WOW !! It's a miracle !! The Federal Government actually can do something right. Who woulda thunk it ??
