Video - "2A Today for The USA - Part 1"

Lately, in response to the senseless Sandy Hook tragedy and other shootings across the country, there has been much talk about gun control. We've heard it from Obama, other politicians, and regular everyday Americans. Some folks think more gun restrictions are necessary. Others do not. Some think better mental healthcare nationwide could reduce and even prevent these shootings.

Due to the varying number of opinions, and the importance of this issue, I feel like this is a great time for all of us to take a deep breath, chill out, and take a look at the purpose, history, and rationale surrounding the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

In order to do that, the rest of this week's posts on The Sheepdog will be devoted to a three-part video series put together by the JFPO (Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership). I encourage everyone to visit their website at http://jpfo.org/ to learn more about the organization. Information about the work they do can be found there.

I also want to encourage everyone to view this series with an open mind. Listen to the information provided and the testimony of the speakers. I think that if everyone does, there is a lot to be learned in each video. Today is video #1 and it is about 7-8 minutes long as are the other two.
